Obscure registration bug gets resolved in version 4.20.31
DHTML Menu Builder Home  DHTML Menu Builder News  DHTML Menu Builder Download  DHTML Menu Builder Support Wed, Jul 10, 2013

Thanks to a very loyal DHTML Menu Builder user, F.V., I have been able to resolve a very obscure issue with DHTML Menu Builder's validation and registration process.

This bug caused the registration information to become corrupt which, consequently, corrupted several system files required by DHTML Menu Builder itself.
After weeks of troubleshooting, I decided to rewrite (from scratch) the whole system, including all the libraries used by both the client (DHTML Menu Builder) and the validation server.

So, if you ever had any issues validating/registering your copy of DHTML Menu Builder, please, upgrade to the latest release and let me know the results.

Web Site Re-Styling
 Wed, Jul 03, 2013
If this is the first time you visit xFX JumpStart, then welcome; otherwise, you may have noticed a rather significant re-styling.

The structure of the web site remains mostly the same, but the overall style has been simplified and flattened, to provide a more modern UI as well as a better experience on large monitors.

To fit the new minimalistic re-styling, I have also updated the menus using a simpler design, with fewer sub-menus and making great use of the ShowMultipleToolbars AddIn, which gives DHTML Menu Builder the ability to create multi-column menus.

There are still several tweaks that need to be made so, hopefully, the whole re-styling will be completely finished and implemented by the end of the month.

Hope you all like it... and enjoy it!

Issues with our email system and securing the web site
 Sun, Mar 31, 2013
About a month ago our server was "hijacked" allowing spammers to utilize it as a spamming relay due to some security issues with several PHP-based email forms.

For the past few weeks I have been working on closing all the holes in those scripts to prevent any future issues.
Hopefully, everything should be working just fine now.

Unfortunately, due to this situation, two major things have happened:

  • Some support emails have been lost as the mail server had to be restarted constantly as I was working on patching and testing the faulty scripts
  • Because of the same reason, requests to have your DHTML Menu Builder registration information sent via email stopped working for almost three full weeks.
On the positive side, the server now supports SSL allowing you to connect securely to server to ensure that all messages you send via the support email forms are private and secure!.

I apologize for all the inconveniences this situation may have caused...
